PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball joint capable of assuring a strength against pulling force and scooping force at balls while assuring a sealing characteristic of a dust cover.SOLUTION: A ball joint 100 has a ball seat 130 acting as a resin bearing seat for storing a ball part 113 of a ball stud 110 within a seat storing part 121 of a metallic socket 120 in a rotary slidable manner. The seat storing part 121 is made such that an end part where a stud part 111 passes is extended toward the stud part 111 rather than a ball center O of the ball part 114 and formed. In turn, the ball seat 130 is formed with a covering part 133 at an outside portion of a seat opening 132 in a ball storing part 131 formed in a spherical surface corresponding to a sliding surface 114a of the ball part 114 of the ball stud 110. The covering part 133 is formed by folding back the seat opening 132 so as to cover the outer periphery of the opening part of the seat storing part 121 at the socket 120. |
