PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting device capable of reducing influence exerted on a maintenance part by a liquid jetted to a liquid reception part, and a liquid jetting method.SOLUTION: A liquid jetting device includes: a carriage 22 including a liquid jetting head 28 which has a nozzle surface 27 on which a nozzle 26 capable of jetting ink is formed, movably in a reciprocating manner in a width direction; a flashing box 43 capable of receiving ink jetted from the nozzle 26; a maintenance part 44 for performing maintenance of the liquid jetting head 28; and a control part 60 for controlling jetting of ink from the nozzle 26. A movement region where the liquid jetting head 28 can move includes: a landing region B where ink is jetted from the nozzle 26 and landed with respect to a medium 41 to be jetted; a reception region C where the flashing box 43 is provided; and a maintenance region D where the maintenance part 44 is provided. The maintenance region D is located on the opposite side of the reception region C with the landing region B being sandwiched in the width direction. |
