PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder including a rear-end restriction member capable of switching an abutment member between an urged state and a retreat state with a simple configuration, and an image formation apparatus including this sheet feeder.SOLUTION: A sheet feeder includes: a feed roller 11; a cassette main body 30; an intermediate plate 13 that is rotatably provided in the cassette main body 30, that can load a sheet thereon, and that rotates upward to press the sheet against the feed roller 11; and a rear-end restriction member 21 that is provided in the cassette main body 30 to be movable in a sheet feed direction, that abuts on an upstream end of the sheet present on the intermediate plate 13 in the feed direction, and that restricts the sheet. The rear-end restriction member 21 includes: a restriction member main body 210; an abutment member 211 that can protrude from the restriction member main body 210; an elastic member 214 urging the abutment member 211; and a sliding portion 213 that is provided on the abutment member 211, that can contact the intermediate plate 13 that moves down to a lowest portion, and for which a frictional force between the sliding portion 213 and the intermediate plate 13 is higher than an urging force by which the elastic member 214 urges the abutment member 211. |
