<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to accurately detect the amount of developer stored in a developer storage part, on the basis of vibration generated in the developer storage part, and a method of detecting the amount of developer stored.SOLUTION: The method of detecting the amount of developer stored includes: detecting vibration of a developer storage part when a sheet conveyance part provided in an image forming apparatus is driven (step S3); extracting a frequency component value of vibration of the developer storage part (step S4-S5); and detecting the amount of developer stored in the developer storage part, according to the frequency component value (step S6).</p> |
