The present invention provides a method for immobilizing enzyme or biomaterial on active carbon which comprises the steps of: oxidizing surface of active carbon by processing acid, an oxidizing agent, or a mixture thereof with the active carbon; (b) reforming the active carbon in which the surface is oxidized with a substituent selected from a group including -NH2, -COOH, -NHS and -Biotin; and (c) immobilizing one or more enzymes or biomaterials selected from a group including lipase, glucose oxydase, laccase, catalase, microorganism, antigen, and antibody on the reformed active carbon. By immobilizing enzymes and the likes by reforming the active carbon according to the present invention, development of production progress for highly active enzyme catalysts can be possible, thereby high contribution to environmental and energy problems can be made. |
