PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus able to select an optimum relay path and to provide a control method for a communication apparatus.SOLUTION: The communication apparatus is able to communicate with a communication terminal and a plurality of relay apparatuses. The communication apparatus acquires communication propagation state information indicating a communication propagation state between the communication terminal and each of the plurality of relay apparatuses. The communication apparatus also acquires handling information about whether the plurality of relay apparatuses handle multi-band, by which an information signal is received in a first radio frequency band, the band of the information signal is converted to a second radio frequency different from the first radio frequency, and the information signal in the second radio frequency band can be transmitted. On the basis of the communication propagation state and the handling information, the communication apparatus selects the one relay apparatus not lower than a prescribed order among the relay apparatuses whose transmission propagation states are excellent among the plurality of relay apparatuses that handle the multi-band. The communication apparatus receives information signal that the selected relay apparatus has received in the first radio frequency band from the communication terminal and transmitted after converting the band into the second radio frequency band. |
