PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money processor capable of adopting correct countermeasures at the occurrence of change jamming.SOLUTION: A paper money processor includes: a paper money storage 105; paper money conveyance paths 109 and 111 for extracting and returning change from the paper money storage 105; determination means 125 and 126 for determining that the jamming error of paper money has occurred in the paper money conveyance paths 109 and 111; and a detection part 121 for detecting that a door 117 of the paper money storage 105 has been opened. When a jamming error is received from the determination means 125 and 126, and an opening signal indicating that the door 117 or a key 119 has been opened is received from the detection part 121 of the paper money storage 105 before the jamming error is released, it is informed that the operation is not correct. Thus, even when paper money storage 105 is opened by mistake at the occurrence of the jamming of the paper money, it is recognized that the countermeasures are incorrect, and correct countermeasures of extracting only paper money jammed in the paper money conveyance paths 109 and 111 is executable. |
