PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal joint which can exhibit stable performance for a long period of time without causing corrosion of the periphery of a bearing cup fixing bolt even when used in such a high-load and corrosive environment as a drive system or the like of rolling equipment of steel.SOLUTION: In the universal joint, a key part 31 of a bearing cup 30 is fit into a key groove 41 formed on a yoke 40, a bearing fixing bolt 50 is inserted into a bolt insertion hole 32 and screwed to a screw hole 42 of the yoke 40, and the bearing cup 30 and the yoke 40 are joined and fixed to each other. A plurality of penetration holes 36 extending from the bolt insertion hole 32 to an end 35 of the bearing cup 30 on the outer peripheral side are formed, the penetration holes 36 communicate with openings 36a of an outer peripheral face 37 of the bearing cup 30, and the openings 36a are sealed in a state that grease injected from the opening 36a is filled in clearances d between the bearing fixing bolt 50 and the bolt insertion hole 39 via the penetration holes 36. |
