PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of preventing an image printed on a printing medium from being acquired from an ink peel-off trace remaining on a used ink ribbon in a state of detaching an ink ribbon cartridge from a casing of the printing device.SOLUTION: A printing device 1 includes: an ink ribbon cartridge 6; and a ribbon feed mechanism 10 feeding an ink ribbon 3 between a supply roll 4 and a winding roll 5. The ink ribbon cartridge 6 includes a case member having a cover portion that generally entirely covers the ink ribbon 3 wound around the winding roll 5. The ribbon feed mechanism 10 feeds the ink ribbon 3 in a direction in which the winding roll 5 winds the ink ribbon until an ink peel-off trace formed on the ink ribbon 3 enters the cover portion after printing on one printing medium 2, and feeds the ink ribbon 3 in a direction in which the supply roll 4 winds the ink ribbon at a time of printing on a next one printing medium 2 by as much as a feed amount equal to or smaller than a feed amount after the end of printing on a previous one printing medium 2. |
