<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter that enables a high definition color display without luminance unevenness, and to provide a liquid crystal display employing the color filter.SOLUTION: A color filter has a black matrix 2 formed on a transparent substrate 1, and has a plurality of colored pixels 3 composed of a red pixel, a green pixel and a blue pixel provided at an opening part of the formed black matrix 2, and in the color filter, a line width of the black matrix 2 is less than 6μm, a pitch of the colored pixel is 25μm or less, and a tilt angleθof the colored pixel to be defined by an expression ofθ=tan-1[{Th(max)-Th(min)}/X'] is 2° or less and in a measurement using a D65 light source, a chromaticity distribution of an XYZ colorimetric system of a CIE is 3/1000 or less in the same pixel.</p> |
