The present invention relates to an improvement method for the rigidity of piston heads to adapt to high output power engines, and an apparatus to realize the method. The method comprises: a preheating process (S10) to preheat the piston head (1); a setting process (S20) to tilt the center axis (C) of the piston head (1) at a first angle (A1) by tilting the piston head (1) at the first angle (A1) with respect to a vertical axis (V) so that the corners (5) thereof face upward; a partial melting process wherein a rim part (7) is made to repeat melting and solidification by applying high heat to the rim part (7) using a TIG welder while rotating the piston head (1) around the center axis (C) as an axis; and a cooling process to cool the piston head (1).
