PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature compensation type oscillator which is excellent in temperature compensation accuracy.SOLUTION: A temperature compensation type piezoelectric oscillator 1 serving as a temperature compensation type oscillator includes: a piezoelectric vibrator 20 incorporating a vibration piece; an electronic component (IC) 25 which has a function for driving the vibration piece and a temperature transducer and serves as a circuit element; a package 10 having a recessed part which opens on at least one side and serving as a container in which the piezoelectric vibrator 20 and the electronic component (IC) 25 are housed in the recessed part; and a lid 40 which has one surface facing an opening of the recessed part and is connected with the package 10. The piezoelectric vibrator 20 and the electronic component (IC) 25 are placed on the same bottom surface of the package so as to be arranged side by side in a plane view.
