PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rewrite screen information in a screen pattern even during normal operation of a display operation apparatus without inconvenience.SOLUTION: Display means 260 displays a screen. Recording means 240 records screen pattern information on the screen. Communication means 210 receives update information on the screen pattern information from an external device. Drawing means 230 displays a screen on the display means 260 according to the screen pattern information recorded by the recording means 240 and rewrites the screen pattern information recorded in the recording means 240 on the basis of the update information received by the communication means 210. When the screen pattern information is rewritten, operation control means 220 controls the drawing means 230 so as to execute rewriting of the screen pattern information after the completion of the screen display in a situation where the display means 260 is performing the screen display.
