The present invention relates to a lane recognition system, comprising a detection unit, which recognizes and obtains information of the road where a vehicle is driven; and an image processing unit, which processes the road information obtained by the detection unit. The image processing unit comprises: a lane recognition module, which recognizes and detects lane information from the road information obtained from the detection unit; a lane tracking module, which obtains lane tracking information assumed by tracking the accumulated lane information detected by the lane recognition module before detecting the lane information; and a lane recognition history management module, which determines the validity of the lane information with the interpolated result of the lane information obtained from the lane recognition module and the lane tracking information obtained from the lane tracking module when the lane information obtained from the lane recognition module is recognized to be under an aperiodic unstable condition. Accordingly, the lane recognition system obtains the interpolated result about the detected lane information, using the lane tracking information assumed by tracking the accumulated lane information, thereby increasing stability and reliability of the detected lane information. |
