PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission apparatus in which a first gear and a second gear are satisfactorily meshed with each other, and to provide a case working method.SOLUTION: The power transmission apparatus is a transfer apparatus 1 which includes an input shaft 11, an output shaft 30, a ring gear 15, a pinion gear 32, a case 50 for housing the input shaft 11 and the output shaft 30, and a first bearing 41 and a second bearing 42 for rotatably supporting the output shaft 30 with respect to the case 50. The first bearing 41 is arranged on the front side which is the input shaft 11 side in an axial direction of the output shaft 30 and the second bearing 42 is arranged on the rear side. The case 50 includes a front-side first internal fitting part 64 in which the first bearing 41 is internally fitted, a rear-side second internal fitting part 55 in which the second bearing 42 is internally fitted and a communication window 71a which is formed on a front-side case wall part 73 on a rotation axis O2 of the output shaft 30 and communicate the inside with the outside, and a lid 72 is arranged so as to open/close the communication window 71a. |
