PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attachment/detachment of a pipe to/from a variable area flow meter.SOLUTION: In a variable area flow meter 1 in which a float 24 is vertically moved by flow of a fluid flowing in a taper tube 23 and an upper connection part 20 and a lower connection part 21 are arranged in an upper portion and a lower portion of the taper tube 23 respectively in a direction vertical to a lengthwise direction of the taper tube 23, the upper connection part 20 and the lower connection part 21 have passage holes 200 which communicate with the taper tube 23 and in which the fluid flows, and a gasket attachment part 201 which has ring-shaped gaskets additionally provided on the outside. The lower connection part 21 is inserted to a supply pipe 44 which is connected to a fluid supply source 46 and has a first connection hole 40 having a diameter corresponding to the lower connection part 21, and the upper connection part 20 is inserted to a feeding pipe 42 having a second connection hole 41 having a diameter corresponding to the upper connection part 20. Also, fixing means 10a for fixing to the supply pipe 44 or the feeding pipe 42 is provided. This configuration facilitates attachment/detachment of the variable area flow meter 1 to/from a pipe block 4. |
