PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid troubling the user to update a vendor ID table when the first three octets of a MAC address of a network controller 209 does not match a vendor ID.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus acquires the latest version of a vendor ID list from a management server 102 when the first three octets of a MAC address of the network controller 209 does not match a vendor ID. The information processing apparatus then updates a vendor ID table on the basis of the acquired latest version of a vendor ID list. |
