The present invention relates to a device and a method for generating a three-dimensional image using a smart device. The device for generating a three-dimensional image using a smart device having a camera and multiple sensors comprises a photographing unit which generates an image of a subject photographed by a camera; a detection unit which detects position movement information and orientation and slope information of a smart device output from sensors; a space information deriving unit which derives space coordinate information including center coordinates of the subject and an average distance between the subject and the smart device using the detected position movement information and orientation and slope information; a surface coordinate deriving unit which derives surface coordinates of a virtual sphere using the derived center coordinates and average distance; and a three-dimensional image generation unit which generates a three-dimensional orientation image of the subject by mapping the image according to the surface coordinates of the virtual sphere.
