PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the occurrence of the problem in which a medium is stretched in the fixing device due to variations in individual fixing devices to cause disturbance in a transferred image, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing device including: a fixing unit that fixes an image transferred onto a medium; a storage unit that stores characteristic data of the fixing unit; a storage control unit that controls write-in and read-out of the characteristic data to the storage unit; and a fixing control unit that controls the operation of the fixing unit. The fixing control unit controls the fixing unit on the basis of the characteristic data read out by the storage control unit. Also provided is an image forming apparatus. |
