PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning apparatus whereby diameter reduction work of a shell can be properly carried out, without causing idling of the shell during deformation.SOLUTION: Clampers 6A to 6F hold a shell 100 in such a manner that the inner peripheral surfaces of the clampers are brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shell 100 at an intermediate position within a prescribed range of the shell 100 in a radial direction. The clampers 6A to 6F can move in a direction of approaching more closely to one another from a state where the clampers are in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shell 100. During a period when the clampers 6A to 6F rotate together with a supporting body 3 in deformation work of the shell 100, a movement member 4 continues to supply moving force to the clampers 6A to 6F in a direction of approaching more closely to one another along a radial direction. When the diameter near the deformation portion of the shell 100 is contracted during the deformation work, the clampers 6A to 6F move along the radial direction in a direction of approaching more closely to one another, thereby continuing to hold the shell 100. |
