PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an individual recognition device allowing use for an extended period even under an adverse environment of a production line such as casting process and having a highly reliable individual-recognizing two-dimensional code.SOLUTION: An individual recognition device includes: an information recording medium including a stamp plate 4 having an individual-recognizing two-dimensional code stamped thereon and an intermediate plate disposed between a mold and the stamp plate 4; and an information reading device for reading information of the information recording medium. The information recording medium is read by irradiating the information recording medium with light from a light projection part so that a light reception part sensing the irradiated light reflected on the information recording medium. In this event, the stamp plate 4 has a finer surface than the intermediate plate, producing a strong reflective light, while the intermediate plate has a coarser surface than the stamp plate 4, producing a weak reflective light. A computation part reads recorded information on the basis of a light reception amount. This makes it possible to prevent mistaken setting when mold 3 is replaced with another. |
