PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that allows a transmitter to transmit correct position information.SOLUTION: The position information system includes an authentication device that authenticates whether or not to validate a transmitter. When position information of the transmitter held by the authentication device in advance coincides with position information held by the transmitter, the transmitter is validated and the position information is transmitted.
