PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow inspection of a margin or the like in any part of a flat cable.SOLUTION: A flat cable is irradiated from its first surface side with light, in addition to first light intensity with which a shadow of a conductor can be appropriately formed on the second surface side, with second light intensity with which a shadow of an edge of a window part of the flat cable can be appropriately formed; a transmission image is captured from the second surface side; and a threshold T1 for conductor detection and a threshold T2 for edge detection are used to analyze the image, whereby inspection of a margin or the like is performed. Since transmission light is used, the conductor can be detected in any part of the flat cable. Since halation due to sneaking of illumination light around the edge is suppressed, the edge of the flat cable can be properly detected. Therefore, the margin or the like can be preferably inspected in any part of the flat cable. |
