PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustable seat assembly.SOLUTION: An aircraft seat assembly 100 includes multiple seats 102, 103, 104 together having a total seating area 130. The aircraft seat assembly 100 also includes an armrest 143 separating a first seat 102 of the multiple seats from a second seat 103 of the multiple seats, and a sliding mechanism 140 coupled to the armrest 143. The sliding mechanism enables 140 movement of the armrest 143 to change a portion of the total seating area 130 that is associated with at least one seat of the multiple seats. The aircraft seat assembly 100 also includes a controller 156 that controls movement of the armrest 143 in response to a control command. |
