PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition for diabetes therapy comprising a substance capable suppressing gluconeogenesis in the liver, as an active ingredient; a simple screening system for obtaining an active ingredient of the pharmaceutical composition; and also a pharmaceutical composition for diabetes therapy containing a substance obtained by the screening system.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for prevention and therapy of a disease associated with a rise in blood sugar level, selected from diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hyperpituitarism, hyperadrenocorticism and obesity, is characterized by comprising a substance suppressing activation of gluconeogenic enzymes by K(lysine)acetyltransferase 2A(KAT2A), as an active ingredient. |
