<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine having improved cleaning performance and rinsing performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a drum type washing machine including: a water tub 31 for storing water; a substantially cylindrical drum 32 rotatably contained inside the water tub 31; a motor 34 for rotating the drum 32; a baffle 6 provided to protrude on the inside of a peripheral wall of the drum 32 for agitating clothing; and a hole 3 provided on the periphery wall of the drum 32 for supplying water in the water tub 31 into the baffle 6. The baffle 6 has on a side surface an opening 24 for discharging water in the baffle 6 and a movable body 23 for opening/closing the opening 24. The movable body 23 is configured to open/close the opening 24 in accordance with the rotation of the drum 32. Thus, it is possible to efficiently supply water supplied in the baffle 6 to laundry in each process of washing and rinsing, and to make the wet speed of laundry faster to improve cleaning performance and rinsing performance.</p> |
