<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely displace a main rope of an existing elevator in a short time by the small number of persons without using a large-scale crane and a temporary scaffold.SOLUTION: An elevator cage 5 and a balance weight 7 are arranged at an intermediate position of an elevating stroke. Connection of a part of main ropes 15 to the balance weight 7 is released. The main rope 15 is wound on a drum 16 by performing the lifting up operation of the elevator cage 5. In a state where the elevator cage 5 has reached the top, connection of the connection-released main rope 15 to the elevator cage 5 is released to store the main rope 15 in the empty drum 16. A new main rope 18 of a new drum 20 is wound around a sheave 3 and connected to the elevator cage 5. The lowering operation of the elevator cage 5 is performed and stopped at a position facing the balance weight 7. The new main rope 18 is cut with a margin length 24 and mounted with a rope holding tool 21 and a traction tool 22, and connected to a simple rod 28 by a traction rope 27. After tensions applied to the new main rope 18 and the other plurality of main ropes 15 are adjusted, the new main rope 18 is connected to the simple rod 28.</p> |
