PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding method capable of highly accurately applying grinding processing to a grinding object part of a processing object.SOLUTION: When applying grinding processing to side surfaces Wb1 and Wb2 of a groove formed in a work W being a processing object by using a grinding wheel 2 provided with a grinding part 3, after moving the grinding wheel 2 to a first finishing grinding starting position overlapping between an edge part 3e of the grinding part 3 and a grinding starting point, the grinding wheel 2 is moved along a direction being oblique to the side surface Wb1 up to be positioned in a first notch position overlapping between a target noth point P2 and the edge part 3e, and the grinding part 3 is cut in. A grinding starting point is set in a position on this side in a notching direction and on this side in a grinding feeding direction in finishing grinding processing more than the target notch point P2. The target notch point P2 is also set on the end of a finishing grinding margin (on a two-dot chain line in a drawing) and under an upper end surface of the work W (in a position of advancing in the grinding feeding direction in the finishing grinding processing). |
