PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line filter that is able to restrict noise due to unnecessary radiation of a cable without increasing the size of a core.SOLUTION: A line filter 100 comprises a cable 20 and a core 10. The cable 20 has the form of a flat plate. The core 10 also has the form of a flat plate. The core 10 is provided with an inner hole 11 having a shape corresponding to the cable 20. The cable 20 has a first penetration part 21, a second penetration part 22, and a first communication part 30. The first penetration part 21 extends from the entrance 12 of the inner hole 11 of the core and through the exit 13 thereof. The second penetration part 22 also extends from the entrance 12 of the inner hole 11 of the core and through the exit 13 thereof. The first communication part 30 communicates with the exit 13 of the inner hole 11 in the first penetration part 21 and the entrance 12 of the inner hole 11 of the second penetration part 22 without extending through the inner hole 11. The first penetration part 21 and second penetration part 22 partially overlap as viewed from the direction of the normal line of the principal surface 14 of the core 10.
