PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil assembly for a non-iron core linear motor and a single coil therefor for improving heat dissipation and insulation effects by reducing the volume of a single coil part in a linear motor.SOLUTION: A single coil (1) includes two vertically active sides (12) and two axially inactive sides (13). A plurality of single coils (1) are alternately disposed side by side in such a manner that the vertically active sides of one single coil (1) are put into a hollow portion (11) of a neighboring single coil, thereby configuring a single coil part (A). When a width of the vertically active side on an annular side surface of the single coil (1) is defined as D1, and a distance between two vertically active side inside edges is defined as D2, D2=m×D1+ΔL is satisfied. In the expression, (m) is the number of vertically active sides accommodating other single coils on a vertical direction of the hollow portion, andΔL is a gap width. In accordance with the gap widthΔL, the single coils (1) are alternately disposed side by side, and a partition piece (2) is placed between two neighboring vertically active sides within the intermediate portion. The partition piece (2) is a heat dissipation piece or an insulation piece and a current is allowed to flow to the single coil part (A), thereby obtaining satisfactory heat dissipation or insulation effects. |
