PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin account activity device 10 and coin identification method capable of preventing illegal trading using large volumes of false coins.SOLUTION: A coin account activity device 10 and coin identification method include a coin account activity port 1 for receiving input of a coin from a user, and a coin identification section 2 for identifying the true or not of the coin on the basis of a threshold. The coin identification section 2 executes: a type identification processing of identifying the type of the input coin; an issuance year identification processing of identifying the issuance year inscribed on the coin; and a threshold updating processing of updating the threshold so as to make a predetermined threshold severe on the basis of the increase in the number of coins that are identified to have the same type and issuance year. |
