<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark ignition/in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine that suppresses occurrence of knocking without largely deteriorating torque of an engine.SOLUTION: A spark ignition/in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine injects fuel during a compression stroke. Further, in a case where a load KL of an engine is larger than a threshold load KLth becoming smaller as an engine rotation speed NE becomes smaller, the spark ignition/in-cylinder injection type internal combustion engine preferentially delays a fuel injection timingθinj with respect to an ignition timingθig when it is determined that knocking occurs, and in a case where the load of the engine is smaller than the threshold load KLth, preferentially delays the ignition timingθig with respect to the fuel injection timingθinj when it is determined that knocking occurs.</p> |
