PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watching support device for making it unnecessary for a person to be watched to report emergency by himself or herself, and capable of discriminating a posture of a human being without erroneously recognizing it.SOLUTION: A watching support device 1 is configured to extract a temperature region indicating a human body from first temperature distribution and second temperature distribution extracted by two two-dimensional temperature distribution sensors 2a and 2b, and determines a standing posture, a seating posture or a laying posture of the human body from the extracted two human body temperature regions. Thus, it is possible to correctly discriminate the posture of the human body without erroneously detecting it. For example, the first and the second temperature distribution is binarized, and four featured values are extracted about each of the first and the second temperature distribution, and the standing posture, the seating posture or the laying posture of the human body are determined from the respective four featured values. Thus, it is possible to discriminate the posture of a human being with much higher accuracy. |
