PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a reactor compact by suppressing the peak current thereof, in a power supply device performing feedback control, of the switching element in a booster circuit for boosting by a reactor, based on the output voltage from a smoothing circuit.SOLUTION: A drive pulse for driving a switching element 8, short-circuiting a reactor 6 to a power supply 1, is constituted of a long drive pulse P1, a short off period following to the drive pulse P1, and a short drive pulse P2. Pulse widths of these long and short drive pulses P1, P2 and the width of the off period are determined at a fixed ratio, based on a feedback control value for boosting to a target voltage. |
