[Class 40 (i)] In a system for selectively controlling the current in the auxiliary heaters of a number of thermostats, the necessary signal is sent by means of two impulses sent at characteristic points in the cycle of synchronous switches at the sending and receiving stations, the signal being registered on relays and causing the control of a regulating resistance by a local follow-up system. Thermostat selection is effected by keys R and temperature controls by keys T, the control relays, other than line relay ER and busy relay ZR, have operating and releasing windings and the armatures remain in the last set position. When a key R, T of each group is actuated, corresponding contacts r, t of distributer S1 are marked, motor M1 is started'and maintained for one revolution over off-normal contact S1<11> and line relay ER receives an impulse from S1(0). Relay ER starts motor M2 of the receiving distributer S2 maintained over S2<11> and providing a momentary impulse over S2<1> which restores relays ER1, ER2, ET, which were left operated after the preceding adjustment. As the distributers rotate, the thermostat selecting relay ER1 or ER2 is operated, together with a temperature control relay ET to marka contact t in one or other of the control switches L1, L2 over which motor MR1 or 2 is started to adjust the resistance Wl or 2 and the switch L1 or 2 which opens the motor circuit when the gap in the ring reaches the marked contact. When the transmitter distributer approaches normal contact S1<1>, energizes the restoring windings of the transmitting relays. The keys are rendered ineffective, once a selection has been made, by relay ZR which also lights an engaged lamp BL, the relay ZR being held over an off-normal contact of S1 and being sluggish enough to hold on until W1 and W2 has been set. |
