The present invention relates to a method for use in the case of portable instruments and which predicts the concentration of trihalomethanes, using discriminating analysis techniques, on the basis of parameters that are simple to measure continuously at a specific point of the supply system. Said parameters comprise total organic carbon (TOC), combined residual chlorine (CRC) and conductivity (C) and, preferably, TOC, CRC, C, water temperature (T), pH and the concentration of bicarbonate (B). |
