The valve has a valve housing (1) with a stroke-movable valve element (4) connected to an input (2) and an output (3). The housing includes a spring chamber (5) with a spring element (6), which acts on the valve element in closing direction with pressing force. A throttle element is formed such that an external peripheral surface (8) of a protruding section (7) interacts with the chamber defining an inner peripheral surface (9) of the valve housing. The valve element is guided in a guide bore (12) whose inner diameter is less than that of the spring chamber.
