The plant has a gasifier kettle (1) comprising an air inlet aperture (7) and a product gas suction. A condensation dryer (10) reduces moisture of atmosphere of the gasifier kettle. The gasifier kettle is formed as a fixed bed gasifier kettle. The condensation dryer comprises a drying space (4), which surrounds an upper section of the gasifier kettle, and a coolant spacer (11) surrounding an upper inner space portion of the gasifier kettle. An air inlet pipe (3) projects into interior of the gasifier vessel through the air inlet aperture. An independent claim is also included for a gasification method.
