The present invention addresses the problem of providing a mold release agent that has excellent mold releasability. The solution is a mold release agent which is formed of a fluorine-containing polymer that can be obtained by copolymerizing (A) a radically polymerizable monomer in an amount of 20% by weight or more based on the total amount of monomers, which contains a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms but does not contain a functional group and (B) a radically polymerizable monomer that has no functional group.
