<p>A fluid infusion instrument (10) for infusing a fluid into a body cavity in the vicinity of a site whereat an operation is to be performed comprises: a cylinder body (12) which communicates into a body cavity via an incision formed in a body wall; a supply aperture (18) which supplies a fluid supplied from an external source into the cylinder body (12); and a dispersal mechanism which disperses the fluid supplied via the supply aperture (18) in the circumference direction, then infuses the same into the body cavity. The dispersal mechanism further comprises a reservoir part (16) which is disposed along a circumference wall (22) of the cylinder body (12), and a discharge aperture (17) which is formed either over the entire circumference or dispersed along the entire circumference of the side wall of the reservoir part (16), and which causes the stored fluid to overflow when the fluid is filled beyond a prescribed level.</p> |
