PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article securely fixing an excreted fluid laterally flowing in an absorbent body to improve a lateral leakage prevention property for the fluid.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes a surface side sheet 1, a back side sheet 2 and an absorbent body 3, in which a direction from a belly side part to a back side part via a crotch part of a wearer is defined as a longitudinal direction (Y direction), and a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction is defined as a crosswise direction (X direction). Leak-proof grooves 6 formed by integrally compressing the surface side sheet 1 and the absorbent body 3 are arranged along the longitudinal direction (Y direction) in an area C corresponding to an excretion part of the absorbent article. Vertically-long penetration gap parts 7 penetrating in a thickness direction of the absorbent body 3 are arranged in the absorbent body 3, and the penetration gap parts 7 arranged in the vicinity of the leak-proof grooves 6 form openings 8. |
