PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work device which stably detects blocks of a counter-weight with proximity sensors.SOLUTION: A work device includes a counter-weight which may be disassembled at a rear part of a device body mounted on a lower structure. The counter-weight includes: multiple blocks 40H, 40L which are stacked in a weight case; and a detection device which is disposed in the weight case and detects the blocks. The detection device includes: proximity sensors 51, each of which has a detection portion separated from a tip of a guide cover in a depth direction; and support members 52a, 52b which support the proximity sensors 51. Each guide cover contacts with the block and the support members elastically deform. The action causes the tip of the guide cover to be pressed against the block. |
