PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact transmission including a parking mechanism.SOLUTION: In a housing 2 of a transmission 1, a main shaft 5 having a plurality of driven gears 51-55 and a reverse gear 57, is rotatably mounted, and the gears 51-57 are driven by counter gears 42-47 of a counter shaft 4 to form a prescribed gear stages. A parking gear 58 is fixed on the main shaft 5, the parking mechanism 7 is operated when a vehicle is in a parking state, and a parking lock lever 76 is engaged with a parking gear 58 to fix the main shaft 5 to the housing 2. A rod member 74 of the parking mechanism 7 includes: a cam member 74d slidably kept into contact with the parking rod lever 76, and is axially movable to the housing 2. The rod member 74 penetrates through a reverse idler gear 56 disposed between the sixth counter gear 47 and the reverse gear 57. |
