PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate copolymer which has high molecular weight and high flowability while keeping excellent essential quality of polycarbonate and has heterogeneous structures at a small ratio.SOLUTION: The polycarbonate copolymer is formed substantially from a structural unit, which is obtained by a method for reacting an aromatic polycarbonate prepolymer with an aliphatic diol compound in the presence of a transesterification catalyst, namely, which is derived from the aliphatic diol compound having an aliphatic hydrocarbon group to be bonded to a terminal hydroxyl group, and another structural unit derived from an aromatic dihydroxy compound. The polycarbonate copolymer further contains 2,000 ppm of a different structural unit shown by general formula (1) as a biphenyl acid conversion value. |
