APPLICATION DETERMINATION PROGRAM, FAULT DETECTION DEVICE, AND APPLICATION DETERMINATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the validity of a fault symptom pattern used to detect a fault symptom.SOLUTION: The fault detection device generates a fault symptom pattern used for fault symptom detection in a first system configuration on the basis of fault events generated in a first system in the past. When a system configuration shifts from the first system configuration to a second system configuration, the fault detection device calculates difference information showing a difference between the system configurations by using the change frequency which is the cumulative number of executed changes of components configuring the system. Then, the fault detection device determines whether the fault symptom pattern is applied to fault symptom detection in the second system configuration according to the calculated difference information.
