PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of determining a reference phase in rotation of a cam shaft.SOLUTION: A running torque inspection device 1 includes: a head 11 that can be coupled to a cam shaft 3 so as not to rotate relatively; a motor 15 that rotates the head 11; an output torque detection unit 14 that detects output torque of the motor 15; a motor control unit 21 that controls movement of the motor 15; a pulse counter 22 that stores phase information corresponding to a phase of the head 11; a rotation restraint unit 8 that restrains rotation of the head 11 when the head 11 is in a predetermined phase; and a counter control unit 23 that, when the output torque of the motor 15 increases because the rotation restraint unit 8 restrains rotation of the head 11 when the head 11 is in the predetermined phase, stores phase information at the time of the increase in the pulse counter 22. |
