The fuel accumulator (1) comprises a pressure regulating valve (2) that is configured for controlling the pressure in the fuel. Multiple pressure control valves are located between multiple connection terminals (3-5) and fuel lines (6-8). Multiple adapters (12-14) are arranged between the connection terminals and the pressure control valves. The fuel lines are connected to a flow meter (15). A control device (16) is provided for controlling or regulating the pressure regulating valve with the control or regulating signals.
