Provided is an apparatus for treating a waste wood sleeper using thermal extraction and a method thereof, capable of decreasing the concentration of pollutants in a waste wood sleeper by applying high temperature thermal extraction to a waste wood sleeper polluted with oil and preservatives, increasing extraction efficiency by crushing the waste wood sleeper to form powder and then heat extracting the powder, and inhibiting the generation of waste gas due to combustion at high temperatures by filling a thermal extraction reactor with nitrogen. The apparatus for treating a waste wood sleeper includes a waste wood sleeper crusher, a thermal extraction reactor, a waste gas condenser, and a recycled inert gas supplier, wherein the thermal extraction reactor separates preservatives and oil components contained in the waste wood sleeper into waste woods and general wastes by a thermal extraction method. |
