A stator (5) is provided with a stator core (9), a plurality of stator coils (10) wound around a plurality of tooth parts (13), a plurality of terminal pins (11) connected to the plurality of stator coils (10), a terminal pin holding part (12a) for holding the plurality of terminal pins (11), and an electromagnetic shield (8) having an annular shield body (20) covering the plurality of tooth parts (13). The stator core (9) further has a wiring penetration part (16) in which a wiring through-hole (16a) opened in the axial direction is formed. The plurality of terminal pins (11) are disposed so as to pass through the wiring through-hole (16a). Each terminal pin (11) has a coil end connection part (11a) connected to an end (10a) of each stator coil (10). The electromagnetic shield (8) further has a terminal pin cover (22) for covering the coil end connection part (11a) of each terminal pin (11).
