PURPOSE: A sensing coverage ratio calculation method in a sensor network and an apparatus thereof are provided to calculate a sensing coverage ratio accurately and efficiently. CONSTITUTION: A domain segmentation unit (310) generates a plurality of final sub domains by dividing a target area. The domain segmentation unit generates a plurality of the final sub domains which overlap one another or have a smaller capacity of sensors included in the domain than a given domain capacity. A sensing coverage ratio calculation unit (320) calculates a sensing coverage ratio of the target area based on the domain segmentation result made by the domain segmentation unit.
